PR Chokolade A/S was founded in 1997. From the very beginning, the philosophy and the core of our whole mindset have been - Tradition and innovation without compromise.

We wanted to create something special from the start. We didn’t just want to learn as we went along. We would never compromise on quality and settle for “good enough” because good enough is far from the best. We celebrated our 20th anniversary in 2017. We still follow the old traditions because that has turned out to be not too bad at all. However, new opportunities appear every day, and we embrace and evolve because if you consider your training finished, you are more finished than trained.

We have always chosen to use only the best ingredients, which come from the world’s largest chocolate manufacturer - Barry Callebaut Belgium. The cocoa beans are picked by local farmers in West African plantations. Callebaut is a member of the Cocoa Horizons Foundation, an organisation that provides education for farmers and schooling for children. Callebaut is, of course, CSR approved. We are committed to sustainable production. We are in the process of changing our conventional cardboard packaging and labels to FSC certified sustainable cardboard. We are not 100% there, but everything that can be certified will be certified in the long term. FSC is an international non-profit labelling scheme for wood and paper. FSC does not produce or sell goods, and you will find the FSC label on wood and paper products that you can buy with a clear conscience.

You can, because in an FSC forest, only the number of trees are felled that the forest can reproduce. At the same time, FSC is a guarantee that the animal and plant life are protected and that the people who work in the forest are trained and have the proper safety equipment and pay.

Our different fillings and chocolate variations are carefully composed based on the recommendations of the world’s best chocolatiers. Our basic marzipan is made from an old secret family recipe.

Back in the 1990s, we mainly made marzipan in the production hall. Today we make massive chocolate blocks and filled chocolates. We make our own liquorice, jelly beans and fudge, giving us the unique flavours we are known for. Last but not least, marzipan is still a big part of our daily production, and the Nordic countries are a mecca for marzipan lovers.

Today we have a number of branded products in the specialised trade.

Inspired by cities around the world, boldly compressed into a delicious minimalist flavour experiment served to you in a tall, sleek flacon box. Salty, sweet, spicy, mild and creamy.
