What does sustainable cocoa mean?

Sustainable cocoa means higher cocoa quality and increased income for cocoa farmers. It also means fair conditions for workers, environmental protection, and support for the local community that the farmers are a part of.

We use chocolate that adheres to the non-profit organization Cocoa Horizons' sustainability principles, and we have chosen to do this in collaboration with Callebaut – one of the world's largest chocolate manufacturers.

Why Callebaut?

Because their visions and goals are the same as ours. By 2025, Callebaut will:

• Lift over 500,000 cocoa farmers out of poverty

• Eliminate all child labor from their supply chain

• Contribute positively to forest growth and thus the CO2 balance

• Ensure 100% sustainable ingredients in all products

FCS

FSC We are in the process of transitioning our conventional paper packaging and labels to FSC-certified sustainable cardboard. We have made significant progress but have not yet reached 100% completion. Over time, everything that can be certified will be. On our products, you can see which ones already bear the FSC label.

PP-PLASTIC 

Plastic and sustainability go hand in hand when it comes to our chocolate products. We use recyclable and food-grade plastic packaging, so you can confidently purchase chocolate boxes from us, knowing that we take environmental considerations seriously.

Plastic is used as blister packaging to protect our chocolates, and transparent windows in the boxes allow you to see the tempting treats before purchase. But our responsibility doesn't stop there. We encourage active participation in waste separation by correctly sorting paper and plastic materials whenever possible.

Using recyclable, food-grade plastic packaging and FSC paper, as well as correctly sorting waste, are small actions that collectively have a significant positive impact on the environment. By choosing our chocolates, you not only get an exquisite taste experience but also support a sustainable approach to packaging and resource management.
